Hello Everyone! Sorry I disappeared. We have had company every week for the last month. We had tons of fun but it doesn't leave much time to craft. While my mom was here I did manage to make a tote bag and dress for my daughter. If you havent checked out Chic n Scratch you really need to. I got the idea and instructions for my bag from her website. http://www.chicnscratch.typepad.com/

While my Mom was here I also went on my first quilt shop hop and have lots more ideas and plenty of fabric to keep me busy for a while:) Found the pattern for this dress at one of the shops we visited. Good thing my mom was here because I'm not too good at reading patterns. She was a huge help answering all my questions. I really like how it turned out too!

Ab Fab and Live your Bliss

Hi Guys! Been feeling a little guilty about neglecting the blog. To make up for it I have 2 cards to share with you today. I just received some new goodies from Papertrey Ink and I'm lovin them! Here's the first one:

I love the new Dot Spot stamp set. It's soo much fun to create backgrounds and so simple! I embossed the sentiment from mega mixed messages in black. This card was so easy to make and I have so many other colors I want to try. I also used a little glassy glaze on random dots but don't think you can see it in the picture. My next card uses more new stuff!!! Background Basics Polka Dots II and Fillable Frames #1:

I love how you can make your own backgrounds in any color you want. Saves money on buying patterned paper to match everything. Papertrey has tons of fun background sets that are on my wish list :) Also love the grosgrain ribbon it ties perfect bows! I hope you enjoy my new cards. I really like both of them which isin't always the case.

I's sorry again..... My dad has been in town and I've been hanging out with him and not crafting anything. I will update soon. I just received my Papertrey order today so I will try in get a card done tom during nap time! I also have 2 new nesties to play with!!

Blast off!

Hi Everyone! Today I'm sharing a card I made for on of my best friends. Her son is turning one next week! It's crazy how it goes by so fast. I used (SU) Pun Fun stamp set. I love all the little puns and it has turned out to be a very versatile set for me. You can use it for so many different occasions and even leave off the sentiments and just use the cute animals. I used bright primary colors since Knox is so young. Hope he likes it! Happy 1st Birthday Knox!!!

I used colored pencils to color the rocket ship. I would love to dive in to the world of copics, but it's expensive so I figure I'll get there someday. I also used my nestabilities to cut the circles. I just love them. I want sooo many more!! Well that's all for today. I made several cards last night and will try to post them tom. It's always a challenge for me since I usually have time at night to create but then have to wait till morning to photograph them.I'll figure it out one of these days :)

Sorry I've been MIA for a while. I really want to try and post a few times a week but things have been busy around here. I got a new desk and some storage so I've been trying to get everything situated just right. I also have a new name!!! (Well I think I'm going to go with it) I'm also trying to dive into my first scrap-booking page..and its really tough. I hope to have some time for the Mojo Monday sketch tonight.Enough rambling! Here is a card I made a while back for a box set. I Love the Damask Designs set from PTI!!!

Mojo Monday Challenge

I really like how it turned out! Of coarse I love the patterned paper which is retired raspberry tart from Stampin Up. My only problem is when I seal the ends of my ribbon its stays darker and looks bad. Any idea on a product that wont do that??? Gotta Go the craft room is calling me!! My baby is sleeping and I need to take advantage of the time while I can :) Toodles, Kristin

Hi Everyone! I need a new name for my blog. I love the title but it's not very original. Any ideas??? I'd love to hear them. My father-in-law is visiting for the weekend so probably wont get much crafting done. Hope you all have a great weekend and a very Happy Valentines Day!

Embellish Color Challenge

Hi Guys! I have another challenge to share with you. This time it is a color challenge instead of a sketch!
I saw the colors and thought it was going to be easy and well..it didn't turn out as good as i would have liked but its growing on me. What do you think???

It's kinda hard to tell in the picture but I embossed the swirl and glittered up the pink butterfly. The quote is my all time FAVORITE!!! Hence my blog name**wink**

Happy Wednesday! It's hump day which means the weekend is just around the corner. Woohoo!! Taday I'm showing you a card I made for the CPS card sketch. This is my first sketch ever. The sketches really help you out if your looking for a little inspiration. Here's the sketch:

I really need to invest in some copic markers or learn some other coloring techniques..but until then this will have to work. It's also my first time sewing on a card. Not my best work but I'll keep practicing. Hope you enjoy the rest of your day. I'm going to try to get in a few more sketches tonight :)
